Welcome to Ms. Young's Wikipage!~"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." - Eleanor Roosevelt~
Ahoy Mates! Welcome aboard! Our theme this year is: SEAS - Successfully Educating All Students! I'm looking forward to a productive, learning 2011-2012 year in Language Arts at Barbers Hill Intermediate. Sixth grade is a transition year preparing you for middle school. Together we will explore reading and writing through exciting novels and literature selections! Let's make this a meaningful and positive experience. You're going to love our class :) Here are the expectations that will make our classroom a success:
· Give 110% in everything you do
· Go the extra mile
· Never settle for less than your best
· When in doubt, ask questions
Everything that you need to know will be on my Wikispace!

Our Wiki Space
We will use this space as an extension of our classroom and be able to communicate in a whole new way! Think of it as a kind of cyber-classroom where you can post your questions and comments about classwork. It will also be a place to connect with other students who are reading the same novel you have chosen. As the year progresses, we will use this space to compile, discuss, and share our thoughts and ideas in writing. Watch the slide show to find out more about our class.
